Event parameters are configurable. However, event duration, break duration, and graphics structure form the crux of any standard event.

What is an intent-capturing system, and how does it work?

Amagi LIVE platform is a new-age intent-capturing system that can be deployed to execute a series of tasks that make up a live broadcast. For example, a sports broadcaster could have an intent to allocate ad breaks only in the middle of a sporting event, such as soccer. In this case, this intent is captured in the Amagi LIVE system and executed by Amagi CLOUDPORT playout systems ‘subscribing’ to this event.

Where else can we use Amagi’s LIVE orchestration solution apart from ad breaks and graphics?

Currently, Amagi’s solution supports customized graphics and ad breaks but has been designed to support contextual interactivity, such as online polls and player cards.

Does Amagi provide 24x7 monitoring support as part of the live orchestration solution?

Yes, Amagi provides infrastructure monitoring for all channels as part of the support, and Amagi’s playout management team notifies the customer of any transmission issues. Amagi also provides a fully managed monitoring service as an add-on.

What live formats does Amagi support?

Amagi supports multiple live ingest formats, including IP stream, SDI, and ASI. Content can be ingested directly on the cloud or Edge servers installed at operator premises.

How reliable is Amagi’s solution for live transmission?

Amagi can support a highly secure, redundant setup to ensure greater reliability for edge playout setup. For true-cloud playout, Amagi relies on enterprise-grade, highly ‘available’ cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS.

Amagi can deliver channels to popular FAST platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Xumo, Redbox, Pluto TV, Sling, VIZIO, STIRR, and others.

What SLAs can Amagi guarantee?

Amagi can guarantee a best-in-class playout SLA of up to 99.999 percent. In an end-to-end playout and delivery service, distribution SLAs may vary based on the satellite or fiber supplier choice.
